Online registration for CYA Winter basketball began on Sunday September 17th and run at least until November 1st. For grades 1-8, you must register by October 15th to avoid late fees. Beginning October 16th, a $20 late fee will be applied, and starting November 1st all new registrants will be placed on a wait list if there is not sufficient space in the league for which they are registering.
All those wishing to try out for CYA Travel basketball should register by October 11th and must register by the second tryout date for the age group; late fees will be assessed on all registrations after October 11th. If you register your child for Travel basketball and they are not selected for the team, they will automatically be transferred to our house program. If they are do not make a CYA Travel team and subsequently make a Travel team with another youth organization, CYA will issue a refund of the registration fee. Those who do not register by the second tryout date for their age group will not be allowed to tryout.
For high school students, the registration deadline is November 24th, which is one week after the end of the tryouts for the local high school teams. Starting November 25th a late fee of $20 will be assessed and placement on a team will depend on whether or not there is still space in the league.

A walk-in registration will be held from 10-2 PM in the cafeteria at Chantilly HS on Saturday September 23rd. This is the only walk-in registration that will be held. If you cannot register online and cannot attend this event, please contact the registrar, Cindy Aune (email@example.com

The total registration cost for grades 2-12 this year has been increased to $115.50, which includes the $5.50 Fairfax county fee and the $20 CYA administrative fee. The fee for grade 1 has been increased to $85.50. Those selected to Travel teams will continue to pay a $35 supplemental charge after making a team to help offset the cost of Fall gym space.
This modest increase in our registration fees will allow us to rent additional space at the new Hoop Magic sports facility, which in turn will permit us to improve the selection of gyms where all age groups are assigned to play (especially for the older grades).
