Hello CYA Volleyball Families and Volunteers!
Practices and games have officially begun for ALL teams! If you have not heard from your coach, please first check your spam folder. If you still do not find a message from your coach, contact me at aday@chantillyyouth.org as soon as possible.
Some things to remember:
- If your player does not already have a jersey or needs a new one, please pick one up at the Fieldhouse front desk BY Friday, March 28th.
- Players should wear athletic style shoes and clothing.
- Players should bring their own volleyball to practice, along with knee pads (if they use them), and water. (CYA and the Fieldhouse are not responsible for lost/stolen items)
- Players should not wander around the facilities. They should only be on the court, in the bathroom, or filling up water.
- No food or drinks other than water is allowed inside any of our FCPS gyms. Food is only allowed at the Fieldhouse in the café area.
- It is not preferred that spectators stay at practices. If it is absolutely necessary for you to attend practices, please ask the coach if you can assist (registration is required). If the coach does not need/want help, and you still feel like you need to stay at a practice, please do not interrupt the coaches and stay outside the gym if possible. All of our volunteers must register and be cleared in order to be around our players and our teenage coaches. If you are interested in volunteering, even intermittently, please contact me at aday@chantillyyouth.org and register as a volunteer on our website https://chantillyyouth.org/registration .
- Players, particularly those in grades 2-6, should be walked in and out of the gyms and no player should leave the gym by themselves.
- Be on time to practice and pick up players ON TIME. Coaches cannot leave the facility if a player is waiting. If your player is picked up late more than once, they may not be allowed to continue on the team.
- Please check email and any app or group chat you may have for your team prior to showing up for practice or games. Emergencies can and will happen and FCPS can cancel our space if they need it, even at the last minute!
